Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Jubalandese Charity Center (JCC) collects through this website, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: 28 July 2026
What we collect
If you write to us through the contact form on this website, we collect the name, email address and message you choose to provide. We do not ask for sensitive personal information through this site, and you should not include it in your message.
How we use your information
We use the details you submit only to read your message, reply to you, and keep a record of the correspondence. If you write to us about a partnership, a donation or a possible role with JCC, we may keep your details on file so that we can contact you about that enquiry.
We do not use your contact details for unsolicited marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list without your agreement.
How your information is stored
Messages are stored in our email and website systems, which are operated by reputable service providers on our behalf and protected by access controls. Access is limited to JCC staff who need it in order to respond to your enquiry.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of individuals, and we may share it with the service providers who host our website and email strictly so that those services can operate.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the cookies and local storage needed for the site to function and to keep you signed in if you use the staff area. We do not run advertising trackers. If we introduce visitor analytics in future, we will use it only in aggregate to understand how the site is used, and will update this page accordingly.
Data retention
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable record of our work, and normally no longer than three years, unless a longer period is required by law or by a donor's reporting obligations. After that, records are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights and how to request deletion
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@jccsom.org with the email address you used to contact us and a short description of your request. We will respond within a reasonable period and will confirm once the information has been removed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our work and systems change. Any revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
